The Rules are simple.

1 Post the Summer of Fun Banner on your sidebar with a Link to the Crafty Sentiments Store.

2. Comment on the Design Teams Cards Previewing the images for Thursday 25 August.

You have until Monday 29th 7pm GMT to complete the hop

I decided as soon as I saw the image of Billy 'Lets Swim' that I was going to make a fish bowl, I had seen something similar on Tereesa's Up Late 2 Create blog some time ago and had been wanting to make one ever since and this seemed the perfect time. I also used some of the fish from the accessory set.

Today is also the start of this week's challenge which is 'Ribbons & Bows', now this wasn't easy to incorporate in my fish bowl and I made it even harder on myself by forgetting to add them until over half of the bowl had been put together. They are not the best and you probably can't see them that well but what I did was twist some seam binding and add it to make some of the reeds. If you click on the photo's to make them bigger you can see the ribbon more easily. I had to use brads at the top to hold it together temporarily as the large gromlets I ordered didn't arrive in time.

The fish bowl itself was cut out of acetate on my Cricut using the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge at 8.5" x 10" to give you an idea of the size. I then added various sea life from Pack Your Bags Cartridge. I embossed most of the cuts using various folders and added some faces to my cuts with the Peachy Keen Funshine Faces set. All of the cuts and images are attached with very fine fishing line, they then dangle and swing freely in the bowl. I used my Cri-Kit glitter pens in my Cricut to draw all the pieces before adding them as die cuts as they then look like shadows but unfortunately the camera hasn't picked this up. The bubbles all had glossy accents added to them.

My 4 year old god son came in just as I had finished this and asked what the little boy's name was, I told him Billy and he promptly informed me that Billy will be dead soon because he hasn't got a snorkel or regulator!! I guess that is what happens when your dad and uncle are Scuba Diving Instructor's lol. Way too old for his little years!!

This looks so much better in real life as it all moves.

I added this photo of a side angle to show how it goes together but it is not very clear, the jelly fish/octopus was very pleased to have another photo taken lol.

Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Preview Day 3

EDIED:- I am really sorry about all the green lines behind the words, I can't find where they came from or how to get rid of them YET.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the third day of Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Previews. We will be having previews from Monday through to Thursday with Thursday ending the previews with a blog hop, where you will have the chance to win 1 of the 4 new main image stamps from this release, there will be 4 winners in total picked at random from the comments left and of course after checking that you placed the banner on your blog. Banner available on the top right of my blog and it must be linked to the web shop http://craftysentimentsdesigns.co.uk/. The new stamps will be on sale from August 25th.

For today's card I have used 2 stamps again, 'A Good Book' paired with 'Summer Bench' accessory stamp. Of course it is another cute and girlie card but I promise tomorrow's won't be either a card or for a girl!!

I dug deep into my stash of scraps for these papers, they are from the very first  two pads Forever Friends produced lol I think they one was a birthday pad and the other babies, how long ago was that. The reason my grapes look so dark is because I added glossy accents and the camera seem's to have only caught that. Do you like my sky? I did it with  Powder Blue Promarker, a make up sponge and a flower punch! I really like the effect, I did it on yesterday's card too but it wasn't quite as I liked.

Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Preview Day 2

Good morning everyone and welcome to the second day of Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Previews.

Today I am previewing 2 images (1 main image and 1 accessory image) of the new releases Primrose 'Blowing Bubbles' with  'Kitty On Fence'. I have kept with my cutie cards for little girls theme (see yesterdays post for explanation) but I have to say I think these images really do have that about them anyway. I think these two are my favourite's of the release, umm did I say that yesterday as well lol. I dug out these really old K&Co papers from the 'Simply Sweet' range as I thought they were nice and girly and then I found this really, really old ric rac ribbon which I had brought for my daughter to use on her scrapbooking when she was about 13 lol (she is 22 next week). I used my Cricut with the Elegant Edges cartridge to die cut the shape at the top of the card, I can't tell you what size it was as I kind of stretched and shaped to fit really. I added glossy accents to the bubbles but I don't think it shows up very well in the photo.

6" Square Card Blank - Bazzill

Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Preview Day 1

Good morning everyone and welcome to the first day of Crafty Sentiments Summer Of Fun Previews. We will be having previews today through to Thursday with Thursday ending the previews with a blog hop, where you will have the chance to win 1 of the 4 new main image stamps from this release, there will be 4 winners in total picked at random from the comments left and of course after checking that you placed the banner on your blog. Banner available on the top right of my blog and it must be linked to the web shop http://craftysentimentsdesigns.co.uk/. The new stamps will be on sale from August 25th.

Today I am previewing Primrose 'Riding The Waves', isn't she a little cutie sat there in her rubber ring enjoying a cool drink which she has no intention of sharing with that gull lol. I am not sure it shows in the photo but I added glossy accents to the drink to give some definition. I also added the little bikini charm which I have had forever and often wondered when I would be able to use it, today just seemed to fit. I made the little ruffled flower from a piece of seam binding ribbon to match the flower on her hat as I didn't have a small flower that colour.

My friend turned up just as I was beginning to sort the images and claimed them all before I had even started lol, she immediately said they were perfect for my god daughter's friends who will be 6 next birthday. I told her I thought she was right and she said good can I have two of each!! Cheeky or what lol.

Belles n Whistles All Customer Blog Hop

We are so excited to be a part of this special release. Along this hop you will find those new releases. And we, as customers of Belles ‘n Whistles, get to play along using any of our favourite BnW Stamps…
Today we are celebrating  the rebirth of the darling SweetArt girls designed by none other than Artist Elisabeth Bell. Belles ‘n Whistles now has a total of 17 SweetArt girls in their store. You will find the master list of participants over on the Belles ‘n Whistles Inspirational Blog.  To keep things easy, please follow that list and leave a comment on each blog.  Do you know why?  Because YOU could win a stamp from Belles ‘n Whistles, just for leaving some love along the way.  There will be FIVE winners chosen randomly from comments that have been left along the way.  No one knows who’s blog the winners will come from.
