Passion For Promarkers Challenge

I saw a card on someone's blog (I'm sorry I cannot now find who it was) and they had made a brilliant Tri-Shutter card and I just had to have a play with one. The tutorial and dimensions can be found over on Splitcoaster Stamps click on the link to be taken to the tutorial I used and as I had such fun playing with this card I thought I would enter it into the Passion For Promarkers first challenge where the theme is 'anything goes'. There are some wonderful prizes on offer so pop on over and take a look, you can join in even if you only have one promarker. Some people are lucky to have a whole set others like myself are building them up over a course of time but that does not mean you cannot join in which is great.

Passion For Promakers Challenge Second Card

Having made my first card (see previous post) for the new challenge over at Passion For Promarkers I saw that some people had made more than one and so decided to make another card completely different from the first. Where as my first card was very bright, with this card I have used softer tones to go with the stamp I have used.

Not quite sure what happend to the photo but it looks a little light, it actually looks a little better if you click on it and view it as the larger image.

Promarkers Used:-

Blue pearl-trousers, meadow green-bike & scarf, blush-skin, warm grey 1-bike wheels, cinnamon-hair, saffron-baskets & hat, rose pink-top, tea towel, shoes & scarf, raw sienna-dog, cool grey 3-sole of shoes.

Other items used on this card:-

6" square card blank

Passion For Promarkers Challenge First Card

Now I know I should still be buried under all those cards I have to make but I just could not resist taking part in the very first Promarker challenge. As it is the first week for Passion For Promarkers they have set the challenge as 'Anything Goes' which means as long as you use at least one Promarker you can join in.

But that is not all, they have the most wonderful prizes on offer. Here is what you could win:-

1. Angel Crafts offer 3 ribbon kits

2. Joanna Sheen is offering a full set of 92 Promarkers,

3. Dies To Die For offer 2 gorgeous stamps,

4. Daisy May are offering 5 sheets of downloads

5. Pink Gem Designs offer one of their gorgeous stamps.

What more could you possibly need to make you get on over there and enter this challenge.

I decided that although I am not an expert with these pens I would still enter as I am hoping to learn along the way. I had some of these Promarkers for my birthday at the end of March and have been dabbling with them since and hope that with this challenge I will buy the pens as needed and eventually end up with a whole set.

For my card I wanted to use some of the colours that I don't seem to use that often and they are the bright colours. I had a card to make for a little boy who turns 2 this week and thought this stamp was just perfect for what I wanted to achieve.

Promarkers Used:-

Magenta, Cyan, Lime Green, Amethyst, Bright Orange, Black & Canary.

Other items I used for this card:-

6" square card blank

Backing paper - Dovecraft 'birthday'

Mat & layers - Coredinations 'so mod'

Stamp - Alota 'party bugs'

Sentiment - Daisy & Dandelion

Thanks for looking at my card.

I have used the Sketch Saturday Challenge sketch and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge recipe of 3 flowers, 2 papers & 1 charm or brad for this card. I don't normally use the colour cream on cards as I find it hard to contrast but I am happy with this card colour matching.

The card looks a little of colour I think it must of been the lighting.

Backing papers - Papermania 'blueberry hill'

Mat & layers - Coredinations 'so mod'

Stamp - Penny Black 'kickin' 2008

Brad - Papermania

Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons

I think that just about covers it all.

Have a good evening and thanks for stopping by.

Friday Sketchers, Cafe Mojo, One Stop Crafts & Secret Crafter Saturday Challenges

Here I have made one card that fits four challenges the first challenge is the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge, the second is Cafe Mojo Challenges who has the theme 'blingin' those things', thirdly there is One Stop Craft Challenge where they have a colour theme of 'pink and brown' and forthly the theme of 'glitter' from Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

As you will see I have rotated the sketch it was not intended but having stuck the first layers I noticed my card was upside down, luckily for me it was one of those sketches that works both ways. For my bling I have add diamond stickles to my balloons and pearls on the top and bottom of the image. As for the glitter apart from the diamond stickles I have also matted my image onto pink glitter card.

Supplies:-

6" square card blank - craft superstore

Backing paper - Papermania 'raspberry champagne' for the pink and Daisy & Dandelion 'picnic patch' for the brown spot

Matting - from local craft shop

Stamp - Forever Friends not sure of name as it came out of a celebration set

Colours - Promarkers

Ribbons - Papermania for pink & Crafty Ribbon for brown

Glitter glue - Stickles 'diamond'

Pearls - Papermania

Thanks for looking and have a good day.

Stampavie Design Team Blog & Stampavie And More Challenges

Today I have only managed to make one card but I have combined it with two challenges. The first challenge is Stampavie Design Team Blog Challenge where they have the theme 'circles' and Stampavie & More Challenge where they have a lovely sketch to get you thinking. As I don't have any circle nesties and I didn't fancy cutting them out myself for this challenge I went with a circle backing paper as well as circle brads & eyelets. Now the only circle backing paper I could lay my hands on althougth, I know I have more was this one from the boys range which would not of been a problem except the only Stampavie stamp I have is this Sarah Kay 'Rosalie on bicycle' stamp which I think is very girlie. Hence the colour scheme of this card. When I first starting making it I was not sure but I think it ended up better than expected so I went with it for this challenge.

Just Christmas and Birthday Card & Papertake Weekly Challenges

These two cards have followed the Just Christmas & Birthday Card Challenge sketch and also have the theme on the birthday card for Papertake Weekly Challenge which is 'Animal antics'. As the sketch had a scalloped circle in it and I don't have any scalloped circle dies I had to make my own. I cut a large circle first and then six small circles which I cut in half and stuck these to the edge of my large circle to make my scallops, I hope you are as impressed as I am with the result!!!

As I have two cards to make both for males this is the first. I did not have a shape cutter for the shape needed so I have cut it freehand, not too bad if I say so myself lol.

Cafe Mojo, One Stop Crafts & Secret Crafter Saturday Challenges

Over at Cafe Mojo Challenge they have the theme 'tools - stamp', now I was not sure if that meant use any stamp as your tool to join in with the challenge or to use a stamp of a tool such as like what someone would uses as their tools of the trade? I went with the second option as the first seemed a little easy but then I realised I didn't have any stamps of tools so I have improvised and used a camera and made this into photographer's tools!!! Well I tried didn't I. The second challenge that I have incorporated on this card is the One Stop Crafts Challenge where they have the theme 'cut it out'. This I thought worked well with my photographer as so I placed him in my frame. Then the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge have the theme 'brads or eyelets' just what was needed to finish my frame. So without further ado here it is.

Cute Card Thursday, ABC M for Metallic & Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good evening all. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I decided to make this card today for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which has the theme 'Happy Mail' make a card to cheer someone up. Having had a good look through the Postpals website and having first hand experience of what these parents and children go through I will certainly be sending more than just this card.
My youngest son Jake has had his fair share of illness from the age of 13 months old following the MMR vaccine he has suffered with uncontrollable epilepsy and severe breathing difficulties, but his time spent in Great Ormond Street and our local hospital was always made easier by the little messages and thoughts from those around us. Thankfully for us Jake is now 14 and over the last 2 years seems to be growing out of these problems, we just hope it stays that way.
Anyway after my waffle its back to the card, I have used the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch and as I have embossed my robot in Metallic silver I'm sure that fits into the ABC Challenge 'M for metallic' challenge as well.
